Greater Heights Assembly of God
About Us
Greater Heights History
Greater Heights Assembly of God was established in the 1990s in the Mitchell McKinley community at the site of the former Trinity Assembly of God with a heritage that dates back several decades into the Dawson community.
In 2015, we moved into our current location which allows us to focus more on our community.
There have been historic revivals and outpourings of the power of the Holy Spirit in great measure throughout the years at Greater Heights. While we have this powerful heritage, we will not be content to rest on those spiritual victories, but firmly believe that God wants to continue to pour out His Spirit new and fresh today!
How Do I Meet People?
Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.
Sunday School
Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. This is a time when group discussions are encouraged as we delve deeper into the truths of the Bible.
Greater Kids
Children get to participate in within their own age range. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn while having fun too. Each leader is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of our church is recognized for their meaningful interaction with kids.
Greater Women
Our Greater Women group gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. and are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.
Greater Men
Greater Men encourages and strengthens men of all ages as we delve into issues that men face. As we pray together, and reflect on the Godly examples of manhood, we believe that the friendship of other men is critical in today’s world. We also include food in our time together
Greater Outreach
We believe that serving is paramount to fulfilling the mission that Jesus gave to us. We will have ongoing projects in which we can serve together to help those less fortunate, while sharing the love of Christ
